US Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg returns to work after gallbladder treatment

The 87-year-old had a gallstone that had caused an infection and was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, spokeswoman Kathy Arberg said in a statement.

Justice Ginsburg is expected to participate in the court's oral arguments on Wednesday remotely from the hospital. Tests following the court's oral arguments on Monday morning showed Justice Ginsburg was suffering from a gallstone that had migrated to her cystic duct, a tube that empties the gall bladder, blocking it and causing an infection, Ms Arberg said.News of her ill health and recovery often trends on Twitter, with supporters sending prayers and expressing relief at her return to work.In November 2018, she broke three ribs in a fall.

She returned to the bench, but said in August she had received radiation therapy to treat pancreatic cancer. The Supreme Court this week has been hearing oral arguments by teleconference for the first time in its history in response to health concerns raised by the coronavirus pandemic.

Ugly looking

Damn, she looks like a walking gall bladder.

Shit, she doesn't look happy. Maybe there were op complications.

I thought it was cool when her song “Ballard of the Skeletons” got to number 8 on the 1996 triple J hottest 100.

nasy nasty person.

What a legend, please live long and healthy and strong RBG

Love RBG and Rico if they same name is amazing

Oh thank god

One big step back for humanity.

RBG's a joke, but when she’s awake she’s more functional than Nancy 'Denture Sucking' Pelosi.

This is like a Grisham book.

And?

With age comes wisdom. America has never needed clear thinking like they do now... May Ruth soldier on for some years to come.

That's a shame

NSW Attorney-General could help RFS release Celeste Barber's $51m bushfire war chest, court told - ABC NewsA court hears the NSW Rural Fire Service may ask the state's Attorney-General to relax restrictions so it can distribute the $51.3 million raised by comedian Celeste Barber to help victims of the Black Summer bushfires. They would probably hand it out as cheques delivered by their candidates It's bureaucracy and some Charities withholding donated monies for a specific purpose which is going to make ppl more and more sceptic to their future generosity. This holding on to our money by bureaucrats stinks to high heaven. Where are the Ministers that are supposed to be in charge. No, all a lot of pawns controlled by these morons.
