NSW Attorney-General could be asked to help release Celeste Barber's $51m bushfire war chest, court told

A court has heard the NSW Rural Fire Service may ask the state's Attorney-General to relax restrictions so it can distribute the $51.3 million raised by comedian Celeste Barber to bushfire victims. However, there are legal barriers preventing it from doing soThe RFS asked the Supreme Court today for directions on how it could distribute the money raised by Barber's bushfire appeal to fire victims and other charities.

The RFS said a deed governing the fund legally stopped it from giving donated money to other charities.

WTF ?!?!

This holding on to our money by bureaucrats stinks to high heaven. Where are the Ministers that are supposed to be in charge. No, all a lot of pawns controlled by these morons.

It's bureaucracy and some Charities withholding donated monies for a specific purpose which is going to make ppl more and more sceptic to their future generosity.

They would probably hand it out as cheques delivered by their candidates
