George Pell's final attempt to clear his name is in the High Court this week — the decision could take a day, or it could take a month. Here's everything you need to know about what might happen next.

"The High Court will be looking at the appeal judgment and around 100 pages of trial transcript selected by the parties," Professor Gans said."If the judges disagree on the special leave application or the appeal itself, the majority decision stands.

"They could just wait until Pell's counsel is finished and say, we have heard enough, he can't win, and they could dismiss his appeal then and there or deny special leave."

May he rot behind bars.

Naturally TheirABC would term it as a 'bid for freedom', when it's actually about truth and justice.

Proposed bill will enshrine religion's right to discriminateEditorial: The Morrison government's proposed religious 'freedom' bill, if enacted, will undermine long-held legal protections against discrimination Seems fair. Will I get a reciprocal right to discriminate against religions? That would be fair. I see the Aussies have decided to import bad ideas from the Trump fascists here in the USA. How sad. In Trumpland this was was a reply to religious freedom. Perhaps Scotty from Sales could do with a desk version to match his Stopping the Boats trophy.
