Justice Abubakar Kutigi, in a ruling on Thursday, also ordered that Adoke, A. Abubakar and Rasky Gbinijie remain in the custody of the commission until Monday when their bail applications would be heard.

A High Court of the Federal Capital Territory in Gwagwalada has ordered that former Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation , Mohammed Adoke , and two others be remanded in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission .

They are charged with, among others, engaging in fraud in the handling of the settlement agreement on Malabu Oil deal effected under former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration. Dressed in an all-white attire, Adoke, who looked unhappy the previous day when he first appeared in court, was a bit cheerful yesterday as he was seen chatting with people and smiling broadly.
