Republican Sen. Rand Paul offered a warning to his colleagues as they began debating whether to hear from witnesses like John Bolton in President Donald Trump’s imminent impeachment trial.
“This is about Chuck Schumer getting 2020 Republican incumbents into tough voting situations,” Cornyn added in reference to Schumer’s vow to force motions to subpoena witnesses. “It won’t surprise you that we’re thinking about that too and how to avoid that as much as possible.” “My view is we should hear the case, ask our questions and then have a vote on whether we need to hear additional witnesses or call for additional documents,” said Alexander. “It’s important to have a vote on whether we have witnesses or not.”
She’s been speaking with GOP colleagues about the matter and said the “discussions have been going well,” though it’s a group that might be able to fit into a couple of phone booths.
It’s ab freaking time! The only ppl that didn’t want to release the articles or have this go to Senate was Drunk Nancy and Democrats. And why? Bc they know they have nothing. This is reckoning, but I think you’re looking at it backwards
Trump didn't do any crime.
Any witnesses with opinions or hearsay will be dismissed so that leaves NO witnesses for trial!🤣
Does anyone else think it’s odd that the jurors & judge of the impeachment trial are being asked to do the investigation the investigators & prosecutor didn’t do?
VOTE THOSE GOP Senators out!!
