Lawmakers Tangle Over Calling Witnesses in Trump’s Senate Impeachment Trial

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Monday that Democrats’ call for guarantees of new witnesses and fresh documentation during the coming Senate trial showed that their case for removing President Trump from office was weak and rushed.
