A successful pill testing trial shows the practice is 'viable' and 'relevant'

A pill testing trial conducted at a major music festival in Canberra has been given the tick of approval by a team of independent researchers., conducted by researchers from Australian National University , reviewedResearchers said the trial was effective and it showed"a potential way forward for more services of this type" across Australia.

Pill testing facilities at the Groovin the Moo 2019 festival at EPIC Showground on April 27, 2019 in CanberraThe trial, which tested 170 substances, revealed seven pills people thought was pure MDMA contained n-ethylpentylone, a stimulant considered by some health authorities to be"dangerous" and which has been linked to previous festival drug deaths. When a patron was told that their drug was not what they expected it to be, they were also less likely to take that drug.

“These drug-testing services don’t endorse drug use, but they provide drug and health education to people who can access them.”State Health Minister Rachel Stephen-Smith hailed the outcome of the review.

Lol it's only been going on in Europe for how long now......

Stop marshall and ty giving them out and making them and no one will die like the others died from their pills they made and sold hey ty Hollis and marshall ya serial killer

🤘😈

There illegal drugs, they shouldn’t be talking them in the first place, but if the music festivals want to do let them but not at our expense

Eh, dumb aussies lobotomise themselves with meth and alcohol then the tax payer has to pay for them for the rest of there lives, this ain’t much different. Who cares anymore

Why aren’t festival organisers responsible for deaths and hospitalised drug users and a hotelier can be sued if serving an over intoxicated person that led to an accident or death?

Perhaps at the time of pill testing they could also test the person for any sign of brain cells , see if there’s any amount of intelligent life attending these festivals.

Society: 'These will kill you' - takes them anyway Police: 'These will kill you' - takes them anyway Parents: 'These will kill you' - takes them anyway Unicorn Pill Testing Service: 'These will kill you' - throws them in the bin. OK. Concentrate on the 50x dying on the roads.

So let the organisers provide this service from their operating costs !
