The presiding judge, Justice Nathan Musa, sentenced Ibrahim Mustapha on ten counts, which variously attracted between six months and 10 years and which the judge said should run concurrently.
“Only God can adequately quantify the damage you did as an unqualified doctor. Your act is condemnable and should be punished,” the judge said. He rose in the civil service to become a principal medical officer of Cottage Hospital, Fufore in Fufore LGA, until he was arrested by the Department of State Services in June this year.
