Zahid, wife spent RM1.3 million shopping abroad, court hears

Former deputy prime minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and his wife spent almost RM1.3 million using their credit cards shopping in luxury stores overseas, the Kuala Lumpur High Court hears today. – The Malaysian Insight pic by Seth Akmal, December 2, 2019.

AHMAD Zahid Hamidi paid almost RM1.3 million for his four credit cards between January 2014 and January 2016, including on high-end shopping in the United Arab Emirates, United States and Italy, the Kuala Lumpur High Court heard today. This was disclosed by senior vice-president of Ambank Bhd in charge of management of credit card authorisation and fraud control, Yeoh Eng Leong, 58.
