Rugby Australia and Israel Folau are meeting at the federal court on Monday to settle a dispute following the rugby players termination earlier this year.

Israel Folau stirred controversy recently by claiming ongoing bushfires in New South Wales and Queensland were "God's punishment" for the legalisation of same sex marriage in Australia.

Rugby Australia said the ongoing commentary and Mr Folau's refusal to apologise, reinforces their decision to terminate the embattled rugby union player's contract. Earlier this year, Rugby Australia terminated his multi-million dollar contract after a series of inflammatory posts on social media. Image: News Corp Australia
