Former President Jacob Zuma was back in the KwaZulu-Natal High Court on Friday.

His legal team says he's within his constitutional rights and can appeal all the way to the highest court in the land.

Zuma's co-accused, French arms company Thales, wants to appeal directly to the Constitution Court instead of the Supreme Court of Appeal. It’s contesting former national director of public prosecutions Shaun Abraham’s decision and powers to reinstate charges against the company. The prosecution is opposing both Zuma and Thales's applications, saying there's no prospect of success.
