PETALING JAYA: Singapore today offered Putrajaya two tips to combat the drug menace following de facto law minister Liew Vui Keong’s clemency plea for a Malaysian drug trafficker.

Secondly, it said, Putrajaya should take serious steps to prevent people from being recruited for drug trafficking, and also prevent them from crossing over to Singapore. The ministry also defended the death penalty for drug traffickers, saying it was an important component of Singapore’s comprehensive anti-drug strategy.
