to bait the Boston LGBTQ community, as well as racial and ethnic minority communities in Boston. We want to avoid bringing more visibility to their event and instead use the Boston Pride platform to reinforce messaging about the importance of allyship. We need straight allies, we need white allies, and we know our strength comes from directing our attention and energy to helping one another to meet the challenges of intersecting oppressions.
Since this article was published, Sasha has transitioned to non-profit consulting so she can be a full time feminist and queer social movement organizer.
