A High Court of the Federal Capital Territory in Gwagwalada, Abuja has ordered that Mrs. Ann Igwe Olachi, an ex-Secretary to former Chairman of the Pension Reform Task Team, Abdulrasheed Maina, be remanded in Suleja prison, Niger State.

Although the lawyer from the prosecuting agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission , Mohammed Abubakar sought a date for the commencement of trial, Justice Kutigi adjourned until November 28, 2019 for the hearing of the defendants’ bail applications. “Abdulrasheed Abdullahi Maina and Igwe Ann Olachi between July and December, 2011 in Abuja, within the jurisdiction of this honourable court dishonestly received an aggregate sum of N153,146,719.99 from Xangee Technologies Limited knowing that the said money was stolen from the Federal Government of Nigeria under the guise of contract for biometric enrolment of pensioners.
