The 2019 Fall Economic Statement supports the idea of Ontario being in high spirits. via thegrowthop

The 2019 Fall Economic Statement released by the Ontario government this week includes measures that will improve consumer access to cannabis while strengthening the industry. As part of the changes, customers will now be able to make purchases directly from growers and order ahead from private retailers — by phone or online — and pick up at the store later.

The council, an organization representing the rights of legal cannabis producers, sent an open letter to Doug Ford last week calling on the Ontario premier to make changes. The group argued the province had more than enough cannabis supply and additional retail stores were needed to properly serve customers.

Ontario’s public elementary teachers to be in legal strike position on Nov. 25ETFO says it received a so-called ‘no board report’ on Friday morning, kicking off a 17-day countdown before teachers can legally walk off the job This time I get many of their concerns. But Hammond is a goon, representing one of the most militant public sector unions in Canada. Sam is the guy with bad teeth who has cried 'wolf' far too many times. Difficult to take him seriously. Even on very serious issues. That is great because like their ads claim it is all about the kids and striking during the school year is definitely more beneficial for children than being in the classroom. Not sure the government is the bad guy here. Although we have the best wages, best benefits, best hours of work, best retirement package, ultimate union power to go back to work after retirement, that is completely funded by tax payers, we feel we deserve even more, and the average person should fund our lavish life.

Ontario’s two largest teachers’ unions will be in legal strike position later this monthThe heads of both unions have said no decision has been made on job action, which generally begins with work-to-rule, and the reason behind requesting a no-board report is to put pressure on the government and the school boards’ association to negotiate a deal Can we fire them all and start again Great job Minister let them hit the streets, they have no support! Highly predictable due to Ford and Lecce: 1.Unilaterally raising class av. from 22 to 28, months before even getting to the table. 2.Saying 'dropping half-way' to 25 as a twisted sop. 3.Legislating a 1% ceiling. 4.Trying to fool parents with these false public negotiations.
