Almost half of rape victims are dropping out of investigations, as a growing proportion do not want to pursue a prosecution even when a suspect has been identified, according to a Cabinet Office report leaked to the Guardian.
*complainants.
It is rime for full anonymity in rape cases. To protect the details of the alleged victim's private life, and for the real possibility that the alleged attacker might be innocent. The attacker's details are revealed upon conviction, whilst the victim retains her anonymity.
Maybe because the ahderents to the religion of peace, will always seek revenge
That means that laws related to rape have to protect the person that has been raped. The law victimizes the victim of the rape. Why?
Because of the way questions asked. If they go for a trial, a victim will be questioned by lawyers and made feel like she is the guilty part because they try to win the case but the whole process may traumatize victim psychologically even more then a crime itself.
The first sentence from the article: ''Almost half of rape victims are dropping out of investigations, as a growing proportion do not want to pursue a prosecution even when a suspect has been identified.'' Hardly the fault of the Gov/Police/Society
Half of “alleged” rape victims. Dishonest reporting doesn’t help the situation.
I still can't believe a woman can't be charged for rape of a man.....
And here lies the problem with R v Allen and the victim’s misunderstanding of their privacy being impinged on.... The Police and the Court treat the information sensitively
It shouldn’t be ! The fight must be done until the end ..
Q: Does everyone know when a victim has been raped, one of the questions that will be asked is if the incident brought pleasure to him or her?
Because it never happened?
because the law protects the suspects or guilty?
