Surigao del Norte Rep. Robert Ace Barbers said the formal invitation to Robredo will be sent after she announces her “new strategies” on how to address the illegal drugs problem in the country.
He cited the need for Robredo to apprise the Lower Chamber of her plans so that they could immediately and properly act on the much-needed legislation. “But if she will attend, don’t expect the VP to reveal in a congressional committee hearing the details of her plans on government’s war against drugs,” he said in a separate interview.
“I think VP Leni should adhere to the dictum of “more talk more mistakes, less talk the better.” The accomplishments of ICAD will speak loudly for the government,” he stressed.
