New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern believes the country is placing itself on the right side of history in the battle against climate change as Members of Parliament adopt a measure to cut carbon emissions to net zero by 2050.New Zealand has passed a law to cut greenhouse emissions by 2050 and in doing so keep global warming below a rise of 1.5 degrees Celsius

The bill accords different treatment to methane emissions from animals versus other greenhouse gases, but still targets a cut of 10 per cent in biological methane by 2030, and up to 47 per cent by 2050. MPs had received 11,000 submissions and heard from a cross-section of society, from students and scientists to farmers and activists, Mr Shaw added.

As are all! At true visionary and a great Prime Minister. Also a great judge of character, it took her 10 seconds to recognise a true git.

She is delusional, there is no science to back up her crazy belief system & she will be out of a job at the next election, then NZ will reverse the damage she has done to their economy & get on with fixing the problems she ignored because they were harder than virtue signalling.

She doesn't know what carbon means.

Five million people on an isolated island will do sweet FA to advance anything except rugby and cricket. Just a lot of noise about an invented scam that's oh-so-trendy to be part of. Also how many NZ scientists signed up for the famous 11, 000 list?

How can New Zealand get it so right and Australia get it so wrong - I know which Prime Minister I would prefer.

Hmmmm............. 😉

👏👏Now that’s leadership 💪💪

There is no such thing as 'right side of history'. Only the future will show which side is right. But it's sure a catchy line for a politician to say.

Looks like New Zealanders are starting to wake up to this loony 'Poll showing fall in support dims election outlook for New Zealand's Ardern'

At least in NZ it is easy to repeal after next election.

0.2% emissions contribution. That’ll really save the ice caps. Or something.

Just go down the hull and turn lift at the lifts and then lift at riciption near table number sivin!!!!!

She will ruin NZ. It will just take her one more term to complete her task.

Complete looooney!!!!!

Is that with or without emissions from agriculture

winstonpeters you are responsible for this.

Trashed her country and her re-election

Progress

Never forget Ardern promised to cut the immigration intake in the lead up to the last NZ election *On the right side of history* 😉😉

New Zealand, a country not run by the coal Lobby Granville4879

*Chuffed* never let it be said the Left's brain's, are ruled by their feelings & emotion's, hey GretaThunberg 😭😭😭.

The looney Ardern is taxing Cow Farts. Australia is, however, a coal exporting powerhouse. The Soy Boys at the ABC can cry into their soy lattes.
