'This is a shocking state of affairs,' said India's top court of the pollution in New Delhi

India's top court has criticized authorities for not doing enough to curb New Delhi's dangerous levels of air pollution, calling it a"blatant and grave violation of right to life."

Thick smog has blanketed the country's capital in recent days, forcing flights to be canceled and schools to be shut. New Delhi, which is home to more than 18 million people, has declared it a public health emergency, with authorities halting work at construction sites and instituting new traffic controls limiting the number of cars on the road.

There you go, humanity taking care of the earth. Not so good, boys and girls.

Smog inaction is a combination of unbridled population increase, deforestation with resulting reduction in CO2 sink and Oxygen generation, and increased technology activity. All compulsively irreversible.

It’s interesting to see the media focus on this one country and make it look as if they are the only ones like it when in fact there are quite a few countries that pose a similar issue. The pollution is global.

Where have they been LOL I guess raw sewage running through the streets, mass poverty and horrid air pollution for years went unnoticed? Guess they were all too busy making robo calls to the US trying to scam people.

While I don’t call Trump’s followers “deplorable”, he’s fostering conditions that are. It’s a petty show of power to opt out of the Paris Climate Accords.

This is the price of industry the UK used to have similar smogs till 1966 California and New York used to look like this, Pollution is the price for progress

This is what deregulation do to you. And we are allowing this? Really?
