Your observation is good to know, but also useless for many people. If a person has lost their job, it's very likely that he/she will not have enough income to pay the monthly cost (which can be HIGH) of new insurance through Healthcare(.)Gov or their state's insurance exchange.
Yeah these plans are really great...high monthly premiums and deductibles! I had to go to the ER for what turned out to be a kidney stone, was in the ER for 3 hours, passed it myself, and still got hit with a $2100 bill, after insurance, USA is a joke

One day I hope people will realize that biggest cost of US health care comes from private insurance that takes government subsidies, charges for limited and supplemental plans, reduces coverage, supersedes doctors' orders, and raises rates and co-pay if you have medical needs.
Without the public option and reinstatement of the individual mandate, this landmark legislation continues to limp down the highway of Republican obstructionism and sabotage. Despite that, it has helped millions of Americans.
