Fayose is being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for alleged N6.9 billion money laundering charge.He said the bank received deposits in tranches from the embattled former governor after it solicited patronage from him.
At the resumption of proceedings yesterday, Mr Adebisi Adeniyi announced appearance for the prosecution while Messrs Ola Olanipekun and Olalekan Ojo appeared for the first and second defendants. Akande told the judge that in June 2014, he received a call from the former governor informing him that there would be a business transaction in Akure.
Under cross-examination, the witness explained that it was his bank that solicited patronage from the defendant.
