Spain is a democratic country, anyone trying to seperate it is treason

You know, because democracies aren't supposed to consider the wishes of the people or anything...

320Revelation Very European.

It's worth noting that under Spanish law, with good behavior, etc., they will almost certainly serve little more than 1/3 of their sentences. So even Oriol Junqueras, who has the longest sentence, is unlikely to serve even 5 years.

Je trouve cet emprisonnement et ce verdict intolérable dans un pays comme l'Espagne ! Nous sommes en EUROPE

Appalling. Every geographically distinct people has the right to seek independence if they want it. Nothing of which they have been convicted should be a crime - gaoling them is the act of an oppressive empire, not a free democracy!

It shows how the Spain is governing by fascists

That's what happens when you break the law. Democracy is more than voting – in this case, in a simulacrum of a referendum with no procedural guarantees. Democracy depends on the rule of law. There can be no democracy without the rule of law.

the sentence against catalonia is an attack on freedom of expression, of assembly, it is a revenge that affects fundamental rights, it is a backward movement of democracy
