TORONTO — Two right-wing media organizations have won a legal battle to obtain accreditation for their representatives to cover tonight’s election debate.
Lawyers for the commission opposed the organizations’ motions, saying their client acted within its mandate to uphold the high journalistic integrity of the debate. They argued, however, that other media outlets involved in advocacy, such as the Toronto Star newspaper, have been given the green light to attend.
The organizations said the two debates put on by the commission are particularly important because they are the only ones Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will take part in during the federal election campaign. Krajewska said two other applicants had been denied accreditation on the basis of advocacy and one on the grounds that they were not a practising journalist.
They're not news organizations though. They're propaganda outlets. Shouldn't there be some standard to what we legitimize as news?
Why the picture of scheer? Even scheer banned these outlets from covering his campaign same as trudeau.
Considering it's being run by left wing media then it shouldn't be a big deal.
Why are you saying right-wing as opposed to two media outles win legal battle
Good
And 86 left wingers from the cbc are thrre for the free food
There are NO right wing medias! They are medias!
'right wing' 😂 gimme a break. you are also considered 'right wing'
Great Job! Even the judges are sick of the Trudeau propaganda? READ THIS BEFORE YOU VOTE!
