Trans employees share their job discrimination stories ahead of oral arguments in 3 LGBTQ workplace discrimination cases before the Supreme Court. - NBCOUT

“prohibits employment discrimination based on … sex,” but whether “sex” discrimination in this context is inclusive of anti-LGBTQ discrimination is at the center of three cases before the Supreme Court.

Trans workers across the country, including Aveda Adara, will be watching the case closely. Adara said she plans to leave her home state, which is not among the 20 states that explicitly ban LGBTQ workplace discrimination, if the Supreme Court rules against the transgender employee at the center of the case.

NBCOUT That's a trans-species right there.

NBCOUT I blame this on Tower Records going out of business...

NBCOUT Apply at the State Fair or Circus

NBCOUT What about the orange man in the white house .

NBCOUT

NBCOUT When a man pretends to be a woman or a woman pretends to be a man- some people, even many, are going to think it’s funny. That’s not their fault for thinking it’s funny. What’s absurd is often funny. That’s what makes something funny.

NBCOUT I mean... when you look like that then yeah you should expect to get laughed at lol.

NBCOUT Trans employees share their job discrimination stories ahead of oral arguments in 3 LGBTQ workplace discrimination, One Trans female was heard saying in response to this report, 'Oral, I hope I don't have to do that to the Judge', the reporter laughed.
