Vice President Leni Robredo thanked her supporters who have been camping outside the Supreme Court to monitor the progress of the electoral protest filed against her by former senator Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

“To all of those who sacrificed – because many of them go there enduring the heat and rain – we are grateful to them that they do not only fight for me, but also for what is right,” she said in Filipino.“I hope we will continue to fight regardless of the result, that we are ready to fight for what is right. Because if we neglect this, it would be start of the erosion of all the things we fought for in the past,” she said.

“We have to trust the justice system,” Robredo said. “On our part, the decision will be based on data because there was a process. So we do not see the possibility that it would be unfavorable,” she added. “Of course, we’re nervous because they were claiming victory, so they might know something that we don’t,” she added.
