There are three big reasons for the disparity in pay: league structure, salary caps and rules around "guaranteed money" for players.

It only takes two people to play hoops so more people play it ...courts are plentiful and cheap to make....hence it's global popularity

Baseball players make more money than anyone - ask AROD, JustinVerlander or max sherzer.. NBA and NFL have salary caps. So, only the Jordan rule players get paid.
