Derby's Tom Lawrence has delivered an apology for his part in a drink-driving car crash incident last month.
The pair have since been fined six weeks wages by the club, and Lawrence has now made a statement in response to the incident. "Going forward, I will make every effort to make amends by working diligently to give something back to our local community and I will strive to repay all the faith and support I have received from everybody during my time at the club in the best way I know how, on the field of play."
Lawrence and Bennett have since returned to action for Derby, but are due to attend magistrates court on October 15.
