Anne Garnett has been cleared of charges relating to her three dogs that died in a hot car
The charges against Anne Garnett, 65, were dismissed last week in Jamestown, Rhode Island – but court documents failed to provide any reason why. The temperature soared as high a 93F while the dogs were inside the vehicle. The car had been running although the windows were rolled up and the air conditioning was turned off. There was also no water inside the vehicle.
Garnett’s lawyer, Thomas Connolly said: ‘ generally provide a basis …They have the discretion … they can for a lot of different reasons.’Connolly added that he did not want to speculate on the reasoning behind the dismissal of the charges, adding ‘obviously very happy about that.’
