A father of three has pleaded guilty to injuring his ten-year-old daughter at the Alor Gajah Sessions Court here.The facts stated that the accused had deliberately hit the child with a belt, causing injuries on her left eyebrow.
He had committed the offence at a house in Taman Pisang Masa Jaya, Gadek, Alor Gajah, at 12.30am on Sept 21. The accused, a farmhand, was charged under Section 324 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means, together with Section 326 of the same code, which carries a jail term up to 20 years, whipping or both, upon conviction.The court also fixed Nov 5 as the sentencing date pending the full medical examination report.
