WASHINGTON, Sept 24 - U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said on Tuesday that the nation's top intelligence official was breaking the law by withholding a whistleblower complaint from Congress at the direction of the Trump administration.
"The DNI is at the present time breaking the law at the direction of the administration," Pelosi said at an event sponsored by The Atlantic magazine."It's really unfortunate." Pelosi, however, declined to say what the next steps might be from the House of Representatives as Democratic lawmakers try to force the administration to hand over the complaint, which is reported to deal with a call between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.
