Boris Johnson acted unlawfully in suspending Parliament for five weeks, U.K.’s top court rules, in a victory for anti-Brexit campaigners

In an unprecedented judicial rebuke over the exercise of arcane monarchical powers, the Supreme Court said the prime minister misused his authority to advise Queen Elizabeth II to prorogue, or suspend, Parliament from Sept.

9 through Oct. 14.

By look he will be Stubborn, respect the judiciary.

Right wing autocrats quite often disagree with court rulings.

The unanimous ruling by 11 judges had nothing to do with Brexit & everything to do with his illegal act in breaking the law. Criminal

Lock his ass up with all the other right wing nut jobs that have gotten way to much attention and control around the world!

Most criminals strongly disagree with the law.......take a look at carnival barker don. PATHETIC realDonaldTrump washingtonpost nytimes 25thAmendmentNow or ImpeachTrumpNow

Love you Boris! xx

They’ll never get out of the EU. 😅

send him to the Tower of London are you?

It’s a tragedy Parliament doesn’t function like the well-oiled Congressional machine, eh? Wait..,

So what are the consequences ?

They voted for this

What are the consequences?

PM Boris is a warrior. He will make his next move very soon. He still holds the trump card in No 10. The other side does not have much time. Brexit looks inevitable notwithstanding the Supreme Court decision.

What about the queen? Has she acted unlawfully? Go Brexit!

CJI Should get the same Power!🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳

Boris OUT!!

I think it is The Queen who suspended Parliament (upon request). Therefore The Queen acted unlawfully?

Boris OUT.

Apparently those justices were not appointed by Boris. There is no British equivalent of a 'Trump Court' in Britain.

What next?

It’s terrible to see them ignore the referendum. We must leave. But Johnson must resign as he has acted unlawfully. Who is PM is irrelevant, they serve the people and the Conservative party must replace him with a new prime minister or there must be a general election

Is it🤔🤣

What a judgement.

Pretty sure it was 'a victory for the independence of the UK judiciary.' You still got that in the USA?

demokracja wraca,Brexit do kosza

Of course. He can't stand getting any heat so he closes the kitchen. coward

Seems the UK has a much more firmly established rule of law democracy than the US! Victory for democracy!

Brexit is a fantastic example of how each vote actually counts in a democracy. It needs to happen. Parliament should all work together to support Boris to ensure the best possible deal.

No it’s a victory for democracy! Brexit is a side issue!

Good, the court violates democracy in the name of democracy.

In a victory for justice over dictators who want to avoid scrutiny.
