Court remands farmer for allegedly robbing travelers in Benue - Daily Post Nigeria

Magistrate Ajuma Igama, who did not take the plea of the accused person for want of jurisdiction, ordered the police to duplicate the case file and send same to the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions for legal advice.The Prosecution Counsel, Sgt. Ato Godwin, told the court that the defendant was arrested by a team of the Operation Puff Adder security personnel led by Sgt. Samuel Kwagh while on patrol on Gboko to Aliade road.

The prosecutor said investigation into the matter was still in progress and prayed the court for another date for mention. He said the offence contravened the provisions of sections 6 and 1 of the Robbery and Firearms Act 2004.
