One Nation leader Pauline Hanson has said some women are making up domestic violence allegations or falsely accusing ex-partners of molesting their children. 9News

Labor said these comments were completely unacceptable and while it would have been happy to talk to the government about an examination of family law, it wouldn't back one with Senator Hanson at the helm.

Today, the Senate agreed to set up the special committee, to be chaired by veteran Liberal MP Kevin Andrews with Senator Hanson as his deputy. "I will try to endeavour to enable everybody who wants to have a say, to have a fair say," he told ABC. Men's groups have applauded the upcoming investigation, but it's been met with fierce criticism from anti-domestic violence campaigners.

They are! It’s an issue that needs to be addressed.

The whole system is stuffed! I had a woman try and attack me with a knife a while back. Reply from police was 'well you didn't get hurt so not much we can do. If she does stab you then we'll be able to help'......

The fact of the matter is that men are guilty by default and even without evidence. Allegations must be proved or else disregarded. No one should be deprived of the principle of 'innocent until proven guilty'. Radical feminists and religious groups imposing their agendas.

'Some women', ok, so what about all the others, doesn't she think THEY need to be protected ? She has always been a half-arsed type of woman, needs to view the WHOLE picture but she is not intelligent enough to weigh all the evidence and make a non-personal judgement.

What about Domestic Vilonce be the issue not just against one gender

Yes that's correct. Whats the issue?

she was on the radio asking for people to 'give her a break'. Can't think of the last time she gave anyone a break

I know a few men who had this happen, one is still fighting the courts years later. Yes both sides males and females can use domestic violence for court but when used against men it takes a lot longer for them to be cleared of wrong doings.
