California irked Trump in July, when it reached an agreement with four automakers to preserve Obama-era fuel efficiency standards., the Clean Air Act, which has made it a powerful regulator in automobile emissions and efficiency. In addition to revoking California’s auto emissions authority, Trump will also reverse the legal power granted to it by the Clean Air Act.they would sue the Trump administration if those standards were reversed.
