Boy pleads guilty to murder of lawyer Peter Duncan with screwdriver outside Greggs in Newcastle

A 17-year-old boy has admitted the murder of Peter Duncan, the lawyer who was stabbed with a screwdriver in a Newcastle shopping centre, last month.

The devoted family man, 52, was stabbed once in the chest with a screwdriver outside Greggs at 6.20pm on August 14.The dad-of-two died in hospital after being attacked on his way home from work. Peter's heartbroken family said: “Peter was a kind and caring man who was always first to help others.“He had so much of his life left to live.”
