DOJ suspends entire BuCor division per the urging of the senate

The Department of Justice suspended all of the members of the documents processing division of the Bureau of Corrections for the office’s alleged involvement in the “GCTA for Sale” scheme in the New Bilibid Prison .Senate leaders made the appeal after Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra announced Friday that he will order the suspension of the BuCor officials tagged in the alleged corruption on the release of prisoners based on the good conduct time allowance law.

Senators were convinced with the testimony of Yolanda Camilon , who surfaced on Thursday night and revealed paying P50,000 to BuCor officials who promised the early release of her husband from the Bilibid through the GCTA. Camilon also mentioned slain Bucor document section deputy chief Ruperto Traya Jr. as among those who was supposed to facilitate her husband’s early release.

They should put Faeldon in jail instead and the whole team.
