LONDON - Britain’s opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn said the Labour Party will not support a general election until Prime Minister Boris Johnson says he will adhere to new legislation blocking a no-deal British departure from the European Union on Oct. 31. “We need a clear statement from the prime minister that he is going to abide by that act of parliament,” Corbyn told the BBC.

Asked when he would allow an election to take place, Corbyn added: “When we’re absolutely clear that there will be an end to the danger of a no-deal crashing out on the 31st .”

billpostmus Time for a revolution, UK.

billpostmus socialist democrats and labour r the same

but if he refuses to abide by the law is that not the very reason to have a GE? Why would Labour act to keep in office a PM & party who defies Parliament? Surely that’s what you R there for isn’t it?

Look at that face he should be in prison for life

Best way to guarantee that no deal need it is off the table is to agree a general election and win it. But labour are so useless that even with this mess Corbyns labour are so useless they would win

These two great nations have been highjacked by two despots!

So UKLabour will vote confidence in BorisJohnson if he breaks the law?

A clear indication of Corbyn taking away what the people want - we will never forgive him.

Does it matter what he wants? Can Labour prevent an election from happening?

There's a skunk in the House.

Yes,no deal at all

Might not be the best strategy as the Mavericks of conservative party might rejoin to call for snap election then Corbyn has a big labor party issue to stay in power. Just a thought for contemplation on

Eminently sensible when dealing with a Prime Minister who appears either untrustworthy, or delusional. Or perhaps both.

Completely stuck now

Standby, he is about to lose, big time !!

This guy is Britain's biggest pain in the butt.

We won't need on if Boris sticks to his guns. PeoplesPrimeMinister
