Trump has steadfastly refused to disclose his tax information, defying a decades-old tradition of presidents voluntarily releasing their returns. In yet another suit, Trump is fighting a California law requiring him to produce his returns in order to appear on the state’s primary ballot. They argued that while the 1924 statute cited by Democrats stipulates the Treasury Department “shall” turn over any returns requested by the chairs of the tax committees, it does not include an enforcement mechanism explaining what happens if someone ignores the law.
WTH? If Congress and the WH could settle this it would not have been taken to court. If dt is able to use the courts to hide behind our justice system is truly broken. The law clearly states that Congress has the right to see tax returns.

That judge has to be so god damn pissed that Trump and his lawyers are arrogant enough to try and refuse compliance with this subpoena. I mean they have no valid argument none you don’t get to ignore subpoenas just because you feel like it
