A federal judge ordered an 'expedited' private review of sealed files from an earlier lawsuit related to Jeffrey Epstein in response to a news organization's effort to see the thousands of pages that remain hidden despite the wealthy financier's death.

A New York City federal judge ordered an"expedited" private review of sealed files from an earlier lawsuit related to Jeffrey Epstein in response to a news organization's effort to see the thousands of pages that remain hidden despite the wealthy financier's death.

Among the sealed documents are 50 pending motions that were not answered, including those regarding 29 depositions. One person deposed mentioned an address book that has"probably thousands of names" that may not have ties to the underlying allegations, said Jeff Pagliuca, Maxwell's attorney. On Aug. 10, the day after more than 2,000 pages were unsealed, Epstein killed himself inside his New York City jail cell. He had been facing sex trafficking charges.

"Unsealing references to non-parties would throw those non-parties into the middle of this frenzy, and unfairly do irreparable harm to their privacy and reputational interests," wrote attorneys Nicholas Lewin and Paul Krieger.

shaming middle aged women is gauche

Pedophiles don't stop. Who's to say John Doe didn't use his reputation to get victims, or maybe he has a new victim in sight.......

Michael Bloomberg appears in Jeffrey Epstein’s “Little Black Book”. I think this explains why at least some of the records remain sealed.

Pedophelia is an incurable disease. They don't stop. I hope John Doe isn't setting up his next victim.......

Releasing the documents should be about the protection of future victims and not somone's reputation. PrinceDoe

It's really about the protection of future victims. If he's innocent then he'll have his day in court........ PrinceDoe

Judge Loretta Preska said she would be able to decide which ones could be unsealed.' I hope this judge is not one who 'protects the elite'. I'm sure there are many more 'John Doe's' out there who don't want their names known. Many high powered people.

How come the judge is not part of the metoo movement?

looks like Epstein out smarted them all
