The British Prime Minister has suffered another crucial blow after failing to secure enough support to send the country to the polls. Sky News spoke to steveheraldsun about Boris Johnson’s rejected bid for an early election.

The British Prime Minister has suffered another crucial blow after failing to secure enough support to send the country to the polls. Boris Johnson moved a motion to hold a snap general election on October 15, which failed after it did not receive the required two thirds majority to pass.

Mr Johnson has repeatedly denied wanting an early election but changed his mind after failing to block legislation designed to thwart a no-deal Brexit. Jeremy Corbyn has now become Britain's first opposition leader to block an election. Mr Corbyn indicated he did not want to go to the polls, unless a no-deal Brexit was completely taken off the table. Image: AP
