SEREMBAN: A 37-year-old lorry driver will be charged at the Port Dickson magistrate's court on Wednesday (Sept 4), for allegedly posting offensive racial remarks against on social media recently.

Port Dickson district police chief Supt Aidi Sham Mohamed said the suspect would be charged under section 504 of the Penal Code for intentional insult with intent to provoke a breach of the peace.

"We have forwarded our investigation papers to the state prosecutor's office, and were told that he should be charged under the said section," he said in a statement on Tuesday .The suspect was remanded for four days, beginning Aug 31, after he allegedly made offensive comments on his Facebook account.

He was arrested at 6.30pm on Aug 30 at Taman KSM, Jementah in Johor by a team of police officers and personnel from the criminal investigations department of the Segamat district police headquarters.Stay tuned for a new offer coming to you soon.
