MANILA - President Rodrigo Duterte has signed a law that requires schools to provide neutral desks to address the needs of left-handed students.
Republic Act No. 11394 or the Mandatory Provision of Neutral Desks in Educational Institutions Act requires both private and public schools to provide neutral desks or armchairs suitable for both right-handed and left-handed students. "It shall be obligatory for all educational institutions, both public and private, that make use of armchairs in the classroom to provide neutral desks to all students," the measure stated.

I remember back in the 90s, meron na kaming left handed armchairs sa school but limited lang. Unahan kaming mga kaliwete every start of the school year.😅

Being right handed, I never realized til now the difficulties these kids had to go through because of these desk. That must be so uncomfortable. I can't believe this is just being addressed now.
