Alleged missing activists appeared before the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) on Tuesday to seek assistance to open an investigation against what they claim as state-sponsored attacks committed against them, their families, and their organization.

Earlier, Alicia Lucena, 17 years old, a student of FEU clarified in a Facebook post that she joined the organization in her own volition.

“I joined Anakbayan voluntarily, I was never coerced to do things na hindi ko gusto o gumawa ng bagay na beyond sa aking pagpapasya,” she said.On August 7, parents of the ‘missing’ students filed charges against Anakbayan organizers in the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group .
