Acting judge president of the Land Claims Court, Yasmin Meer, said Nkoana-Mashabane had been “grossly unreasonable” in discharging her duties.
She took the stand in the Land Claims Court in May, conceding that she and her department had not complied with the court order. She said she should have asked for an extension sooner, but had the intention and willingness to fully comply. The court heard that, while the redevelopment of District Six would cost around R11bn and restitution around R2.4bn, the department could only afford to spend R351m a year.
Another genius voted for!!! RIP South Africa 🇿🇦
Yah she must pay
Not much intelligence behind those eyes. Must be the hole in her head. We are led.
Watch. Ni one will call fir her to resign because she is you know who's favorite.
Good courts should save taxpayers from these irresponsible civil servants..still wondering why new dawn kept the dead wood from Zuma era..Oh! forgot for unity at all cost
She got a hole in her head remember
Good
If she can't feel it in her conscience, let her feel it in her pocket.
I am pleased to see that the ministers and others appointed persons don't get away with their frivolous so called actions against the various court cases are told to pay the costs. Why should the public pay?
She got everything she deserved. With responsibility comes accountability and performance. She failed magnificently in both and lied as well. So the consequence of her action is to pay. But I'm sure she will follow tradition and appeal !
