A former Minister of Works, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, on Tuesday called for enactment of a law to compel attachment of portfolios to ministerial nominees presented to the Senate for screening.News Agency of NigeriaHe said the law, if enacted, would ensure that nominees are subjected to better screening by the Senate, based on attached portfolios.
“There is no opportunity for thorough screening based on portfolios that will be assigned to the nominees eventually. “There is the need for the country to have a law that will compel any administration to attach portfolios to ministerial nominees,” he said.
A serious country will always attach portfolio to ministerial nominees
Must we legislate on every thing . A strong NASS can insist that it must be done.
Bearing in mind the caliber of the bunch of lazy, intellectually fallow, sanctimonious bunch of ‘curtseying’ fellows meant to propose ‘nd push such a law, it’s safe to say that this is not happening anytime soon!
Yes i agree with him
Like seriously,im just amazed to see upper chamber screening without knowing their portfolio.
