Why I disobey some court orders —Ministerialnominee, Malami MinisterialList MinisterialScreening Nigerians

Eniola Akinkuotu, Abuja

The senior advocate was asked why he decides to disobey court orders by refusing to release persons who have been granted bail by competent courts of jurisdiction. In his reaction, however, Malami said his duty to protect the overall rights of Nigerians overrides the need to respect individual liberties.

In Malami’s defence, however, Senator Bala Ibn Na’Allah, who also hails from Malami’s home state of Kebbi, said the former AGF had answered the questions brilliantly and asked that he allowed to “take a bow”.

Well he will be cleared. The presidency owns this session of the National Assembly. Nigeria is doomed

Senate President useless and rubber stamp NigeriaSenate

Is Malami and buhari know the law more than the judges that granted them bail?

You say what? 😱😱😱😱

AbdulMahmud01 afalli eyooekpo 🤷🏿‍♂️🤷🏿‍♂️🤷🏿‍♂️🤷🏿‍♂️

NBA has said it all ( ncidentally, Malami’s position corresponds with that of President Muhammadu Buhari who said at the Nigerian Bar Association conference last year that rule of law can be suspended for the sake of national security). With this all is OK with his action

... how else lower can we afford to go from here?

The Senator from his state complained that he's been grilled for an hour unlike others and it's unfair. The SP supported and asked that he took a bow Shallow brains in the senate and shallow supporters happy

Nigeria youths, all we do is to rant on social media... These guys are playing with our tomorrow. If we are afraid of protest, let make notomalamiasminister trend

Please oooo, did he study law? Whose interest are the courts promoting and protecting? Is the executive superior to the judiciary? Can you have a country with out individuals? Mr AGF, will Nigeria still need the courts when you return? Are the judges not part of the public? Haba!

Who determines what public interests are?. How then do we differentiate public interests and that of the presidency?. RUGA for instance is obviously is not for the public interest but that of the presidency. So invariably you're above the law and the law.segalink AbdulMahmud01

He is showing the true quality of his leadership and explaining that only the executive is an arm of govt.

One person can not decided what is national interest and democracy is rule of law.

He should not be confirmed. He must be rejected

Indeed this man is a serious threat to our democracy and nation

While you were studying law, do they tells you that you can disobey a court order ?

Another Disgraceful Goat

Anybody who flagrantly disobeys court orders, just like the president, is an enemy of democracy (Nigeria). Such a person has nothing to prove. He’s only adding salt to injury by trying to justify his shameful act.

Nonsense there is no amount of excuses that can pay for disobedence

And u r Proud to say this.. Well, u r working for a Tyrant. No Surprises

Wait I dey come , I go see you later bro this one pass we guy you dey hear bros , him dey shine ooo, if we check this very well him manage pass him school leaving certificate exam , cus all this aboki like ojoro Wella. onstreet.

Buharits and Buharideens must be very happy at the nomination of saints

OMG! And he even gave reason? 🙄 For whatever reason, this is treason. No matter the outcome of any case, one must obey. It is the law. No exemption. Oh I forgot, we're talking about Nigeria. Buddy, please go on

'Why I disobey come court orders' such words should never ever to uttered by such personality.

Is that not contempt of court? Or are you operating above the law?

Imagine. Then you have no regards for the rule of law and shouldn't be made a minister..

Malami is a threat to national security. If the Senate confirms him,it is FINISHED!!!

If this man is cleared by the Senate, please just forget about Nigeria. A Country where a man, who isn't the President, boldly tells the senate at the screening that the rule of law is beneath him, that he is above the law. Kai....Nigeria is gone.

A clear example that Nigeria is not working. This coming from a law enforcer. We are so lost in this country.

Fool 🙄 your bigger then the court right ? ODÉ 🤣

There's no why he should be disobedient to court of law

Tyrant boy you don't have any excuse.
