BEIRUT: Lebanese police will investigate a complaint against the rock band Mashrou' Leila for insulting religion, a lawyer in the case said on Wednesday .

On Monday, church leaders called for a concert that Mashrou' Leila is due to give at a music festival next month to be cancelled.

One cannot insult religion because it is not matter nor does it have a conscience, feelings and emotions. it is abstract; metaphysical and even numinous. Many can offend the followers of a religion but not offend nor insult a religion as if it is a person. If only made personal
