BRAZILIAN federal police yesterday arrested four people over the hacking of mobile phones belonging to Justice Minister Sergio Moro and prosecutors involved in a massive corruption probe. The arrests came after an investigative website last month began publishing excerpts from leaked Telegram messages that showed Moro, the powerful judge behind the so-called “Car Wash” inquiry, had conspired to keep jailed leftist icon Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva out of last year’s presidential race, which he had been widely expected to win.
