59-year-old man court for threatening to kill housewife - Daily Post Nigeria

A 56-year-old man, Mike Obot, who allegedly threatened to kill a housewife, on Monday appeared in a Dutse Grade I Area Court, sitting in Bwari, Abuja.

Obot, who resides in Sabon-Gari road in Bwari, is charged with two counts of criminal intimidation and defamation of character. The Prosecution Counsel, . Idowu Ojo, told the court that the complainant, Fumilayo Deborah, reported the matter on July 2 at the Bwari Police Station.She also said that the complainant alleged that the defendant defamed her character by calling her a prostitute and a borrower in the presence of many witnesses.The judge, Mr. Suleiman Mohammed, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N100,000 with one reasonable surety in like sum, who must be resident within the courts jurisdiction.
