On U.N. resolution vs drug war killings: What if Duterte blocks review?

Many Duterte allies even dismissed the UN resolution, calling it unenforceable, among others. Human rights groups, meanwhile, hit the government for its disinformation campaign which, they said, is a way to elude accountability over the drug war killings.

This is not the first time the UNHRC sought this report from Bachelet. It is safe to assume that the OHCHR will have a hard time dealing with the Philippine government, based on the recent reactions and statements of the administration and Duterte’s general aversion to independent reviews of his policies.on July 12, said that “any probe resulting from the narrow vote for Iceland resolution will not be allowed into the Philippines.”

Non-cooperation and non-compliance with the resolution will also just further impact on the image of the Philippines and the Duterte administration.What's next when the UN rights office is done with the report?
